New Blooms and New Reads this Spring!

Spring is nearly here! Are you headed on vacation this Spring Break or staying close to home? As the daffodils and crocuses begin to bloom in our neighborhood, I'm reminded to stock up on activity books for my kids to enjoy over the upcoming school break. Even though my family plans to stay local this year, I still like to be prepared with "Boredom Busters" aka "Mom's Sanity Savers"!

I always keep a few new books hidden away, or save a SmartLab kit, and strategically pull them out as the kids get antsy... normally on day 2 or 3 of school breaks. The novelty keeps it exciting and it's a great alternative to screentime.

Bonus Tip: Brainstorming a list of activities helps too! Check out this fun find I picked up at the Portland Airport last month. If your household is anything like mine, you might need to pick up some activity books for your kids so that you CAN do the thing listed at the top of the page pictured below!

Do you think you might be in need of some fresh new reads?

Now is the perfect time to stock up on fun reading material that will engage kiddos and keep them entertained AND learning! To offer an opportunity to shop for new reads and learning materials, I'm kicking off my Spring Book Extravaganza on Tuesday, March 5th.

I'd love to have you join me online! Text "spring" to 971-220-1678 if you'd like to check out the event!

I'll be hopping online LIVE to feature:

  • activity books
  • fun learning kits (and SmartLab Toys)
  • Spring (and Easter)-themed books
  • latest releases
  • AND books that would be perfect for a road trip, plane ride, or a rainy day indoors.

I'll share specific tips for what I like to pack for trips too, that help keep kids busy.

If you can't make it online this Tuesday 3/5 at 5pm (Pacific Time), no worries! We can set up a personal shopping appointment within the next week or two. I am happy to send personalized "bookshelf" recommendations as well, based on your specific needs and wants.

So tell me... Would you like to check out my online Spring Extravaganza event? Or would you prefer to set up a personalized shopping experience 1-on-1?

Ready or not... Summer is HERE! What are your summer plans? I'm not just talking about the fun stuff planned for summer... but how do you plan to make summer a "success" instead of a "stress"? Summer is here and it’s my favorite time of year, not only because sunshine majorly boosts my mood and energy, but also because I get to spend more time with my kids, catch up on fun-tivities, work on unfinished DIY projects I never seem to have the time to do during the school year, RELAX (with less...

Craving Connection? It's only natural! What do coffee shops, cookies, birthdays and boba have in common? Besides being a few of my favorite things, I'm going to explain how these things CONNECT us! Coffee shops are like the hub of a neighborhood, where people meet for all sorts of reasons, with all sorts of stories... Good Coffee, a hopping spot in Cedar Hills, where the doors stay open and the people flow in! One of many favorite coffee shops where I can enjoy the "buzz" while I get some...
